As of midnight last night, DNR has suspended all dispersed campfires on DNR managed lands within Chelan and Kittitas Counties. “NO FIRES” signs have been posted at all entrances (Wenatchee and Ellensburg sides) in the Naneum State Forest, Colockum Road and the Microwave/Elk Heights area. On Monday, 29 Pines and Indian Camp campgrounds in the Teanaway will be posted “NO FIRES” also as they do not have approved fire rings. In Teanaway Campground, the public will be allowed to have campfires in the provided approved fire rings.
