Cougar Creek Fire Update 7/31/2018 Northwest Incident Management Team 11 has taken control of the fire currently burning in the Mad River area of the Entiat Ranger District. Fire size is estimated at 500+ acres and is expected to grow over the coming days with Red Flag warnings for low relative humidity and high winds through tomorrow. Expect large amounts of helicopter traffic over the Lake Wenatchee and Plain area in the coming days as the Fish Lake Airstrip is expected to have upwards of 8 aircraft based there. Please stay away from the Fish lake airstrip and allow firefighters to work. More information will be posted as we receive it. LWFR is closely monitoring the fire situation and is ready to activate if needed.
